This morning, Sky decided to run off to her friend's house to see if she was home despite me telling her that she couldn't go. I was so annoyed with her because my back was pretty sore so it was painful running after her. When she got to her friend's house, a crow was sitting there. Sky just grabbed the crow and held it for a few second then let it go because I told her to. I was afraid the crow would bite her and pass on some kind of disease.
It didn't hit me until I was talking to some people about it. How many people can actually catch a crow with their bare hands? The crow wasn't injuried because he/she flew away after Sky let him/her go.
Alex couldn't stop telling everyone about it causing Sky to burst into tears. She felt guilty because she thought she scared the crow. :-(
My brother and I wondered if it was some sort of sign for something since the kids are of Ojibway descent. I'll have to talk to the kids' dad or grandma and find out if it means something.
